I would rather a single rose for no reason at all than a whole bouquet offered once a year at a pre-determined day.
It's been gorgeous sunny here again today, and I have spent most of the afternoon taking photos and catching the best light.
February is all about pink, isn't it? I do love pink. Not to wear, I mean, and I don't use it much in decorating, but there are touches of it everywhere in my art. Not to mention the stuff I hoard, ribbons, silk flowers, trims, anything in that lovely, luminious, soft pink. My inspiraton wall in the art nest is all girly pinkness this month.... sure to scare hubby away....
The bedroom, where I do my sewing, has touches of pink everywhere this month. The kitties help with my little projects. Star thunders around the house with any ribbon she can steal from my stash, Binx wants to be right on top of the sewing machine (how can she lay down there?), and Bitty makes a nest in whatever fabric I have out. She peers out from the folds of cotton, daring me to move her.
Oh, and bye the way, its also shedding season. Let the fur and roses fly.

I agree with you about the one rose anytime instead of the bouquet once a year. They are also so beautiful that I pay more attention to them all on their own. Beautiful new things you have been working on.

Eileen:
Thanks for dropping by (Aleecesattic). I have been working with my camera just taking lots of picturest trying to figure it out. I just looked at your blog. It is AWESOME. You are very talented in many ways. I will add you to my favorites and look at how you photograph things to take some better pictures. I just started my blog and need to work on using it daily. I read lots of blogs every day, but have not got my own going very well. I like to create, but I am not real good at the electronic side of things. That is why I joined the Year of Color to try to reach out and get in touch with new people. Once again, Loved looking at your art and your blog.
